Keeping The Large Balloon Number Industry Afloat Since 2014

I was working in-house and suggested a Granular job opening to a co-worker. She ended up getting the position. And then a couple months later, she came to me and she’s like, “This job is actually really awesome. I think you’d actually really enjoy this.” My absolute favorite part about working here is the true entrepreneurial spirit. I make mistakes. We’re encouraged to make our own decisions. We’re the experts. If you have questions, everybody here is more than willing to help. We really collaborate.

Probably the biggest thing to say is the freedom and open responsibility of here are your clients. Just do your work, make sure they’re happy. Other than that, you just do whatever you need, do whatever you want. Honestly, that freedom just is empowering. I’m not feeling like I’m at kindergarten where someone’s holding my hand every day.

I remember just looking at Granular’s Milwaukee office, “I want to work there. I have to work there.” I knew that this was the best place that I could go in Milwaukee to do what I want to do. I’m #blessed to work at Granular. Everything that it comes with. I’ve never worked at a place quite like Granular. With the perks, the clients that we get to work on, and the people that I’m surrounded by. I like the fact that my own fiancé is extremely jealous of the perks and the position I get. I haven’t found a place that I’ve liked working at as much as Granular.    

When I came to Granular, I was looking for a place, but I was very picky. I was considering moving out of state, to some bigger, well-known agencies. So after talking to a few people I knew in Milwaukee, somebody did end up knowing about Granular and had told me, “Yeah, no, they actually know what they’re doing. It’s not all marketing talk. They’re really good.” I really like the freedom and perks Granular gives me. I’m free to make decisions for my own clients. I’m really looking forward to my one-month sabbatical, I’ve already started the planning.

What stood out to me about Granular is that they actually mean their culture. There are a lot of agencies out there that are going to have ping pong tables and that are going to have all the swag…but working at Granular has really made me see that they've invested in their people. If we’re a little bit overwhelmed, we can talk about it. You’re not going to get a lot of pushback – Granular actually is transparent.
